The most accurate way to size your child for ZipperBack Gloves is to measure their hand from the base of their hand (where the wrist begins) up to the tip of the middle finger. With this measurement, you will be sure to order the correct size. Here is the breakdown of measurements:
Up to 5 3/4 inches - Extra Large (orange)
Up to 5 1/2 inches - Large (purple)
Up to 5 inches - Medium (red)
Up to 4 1/2 inches - Small (blue)
Up to 4 inches - Extra Small (green)
You can print the sizing chart here. Be sure to follow the directions when printing the size chart. You must set the scaling option to “none.” Also, do not place your childs hand on your computer’s monitor, it likely will not be accurate.
*Note for children 2 years old and younger: 2 year olds struggle to keep their fingers straight to get them in the holes. As soon as there is any resistence, they bend their fingers, it’s a developmental issue. 3 year olds can put ZipperBack Gloves on themselves, that extra year makes a world of difference. If you want to try ZipperBack Gloves for your 2 year old, try the smalls and work with your child, but don’t be discouraged if he or she can’t do it just yet.
Next season (2010-2011) we will have three larger sizes. Those measurements will be added when the gloves are available.
